# How do I Cancel my Policy?
## To cancel a policy, NOW requires a written notice for privacy and compliance purposes.
Send an email to [Customerservice@nowinsurance.com](mailto:Customerservice@nowinsurance.com).
Please provide the policy/certificate number and a brief message with the reason of the cancellation.
- Cancellations are completed within 24-48 Hrs. A Confirmation email will be sent once completed.
- A cancellation fee may vary per policy.
- Refunds are prorated and could take 5-10 business days to appear on your bank statement.
- Once a policy is cancelled it cannot be reinstated.
- To check the status of your cancellation request you can call 888-585-2075 or email us at [Customerservice@nowinsurance.com.](mailto:Customerservice@nowinsurance.com)
